Access to Trades by Internationally-Trained Tradespersons improved through New Program Initiative funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

COSTI Immigrant Services is pleased to announce the launch of Newcomers Connecting to Trades Apprenticeship Resources (NeCTAR). The NeCTAR initiative is designed to facilitate the access of internationally-trained tradespeople to apprenticeship and employment opportunities through improved service delivery.

NeCTAR is supported by the Consortium of AGencies Serving Internationally Trained Persons, and is a partnership project between COSTI, ACCES and JVS Toronto. Training materials, and tools and resources for agency staff will be piloted in September and November for 100 Internationally-Trained Tradespeople and 50 Community-based agency frontline staff. Information materials will be distributed to agencies across Ontario in the Spring.
