Career Counsellor
Job Duration: 8 months
Job Term: Contract
Job Description: -Provide clients with comprehensive career assessment services under agency guidelines
-Lead career exploration workshops and assist clients with the development of a Short and Long Term Career Plans
-Complete client reports, maintain records, files, statistics, and program details as necessary
Qualifications: -You are a committed professional with a strong sense of ethics, values and fairness, and hold a Master’s degree in Education or a related social science, and/or a minimum of a Level B assessment certification
-You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the field
-With current working knowledge of career assessments, counselling techniques, learning styles and related issues, you have the sensitivity and tact required to deal with a wide variety of personality types, cultural backgrounds and vocational barriers
-You possess strong workshop facilitation, written and verbal communication skills
-A team player and proven problem solver, you work well under pressure
-Your well-developed professional skills enable you to work within specified timeframes and you are able to review and provide constructive feedback to both clients and members of your team
-Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
Salary: $ 42,382.00
