Job Term: Full-time
Job Description: Key responsibilities will include:
-working with the Board of Directors to set a course for a new strategic vision and direction;
-building internal and external relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders;
-maintaining and initiating beneficial partnerships with other service providers;
-broadening and enhancing fundraising activities through innovative proposals to the government, private and philanthropic sectors;
-taking charge of recruitment and staff development process. In addition, the Executive Director will oversee the management of the Agency, ensuring compliance with industry standards and applicable legislation.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:
-an entrepreneurial spirit,
-be a creative thinker and demonstrate the ability to both develop a vision and drive results.
-minimum of five years experience at a senior management level, including financial management, staff supervision, fundraising, marketing, business development, board development, strategic planning and program planning and evaluation.
-ability to provide leadership within relevant stakeholder communities such as the education, philanthropic, social services, employment and corporate sectors as an advocate for immigrants is important.
-relevant post secondary education,
-excellent communication skills and the ability to be a leader in a culturally diverse environment.
