Community Social Planning Council Follow-up Meeting to HRSDC Policies

On July 19th a meeting was held at Metro Hall to discuss the impact of HRSDC policies on community organizations. The meeting, and the issue, have received substantial media coverage.
HRSDC was at the meeting, and there are some indications that they are responding to the pressure. Some agencies are reporting that their calls are finally being returned and there is the possibility of a meeting between some of the organizations raising these issues and senior HRSDC staff.
There is a great need to continue the pressure! A letter to Minister Stronach will be sent in September and a follow-up meeting will be held shortly after on September 20th.
